So here is book review #12 which I should have posted in December, but plans changed.Side note : when I first had the idea of writing a book review each month last year, I already knew what my last book would be. It was a book that I’d been wanting to read for quite some time, but hadn’t quite made the commitment. Once December rolled around, I eagerly picked it up, but was quite disappointed when I just couldn’t get into it. I know I will read it someday, but it just wasn’t the right time.
So disappointed me chose not to publish a twelfth book review, but it felt like I had not completed the self-imposed assignment. So without further ado, I present to you book 12…in February! Better late than never, right?
My husband and I went on vacation in January and this is the book that I brought with me. It was the perfect vacation read mainly because I’ve come to realize lately that I love hearing / reading other people’s stories. Not just famous people – everyone’s stories. Might be some future blogging ideas there…
But back to the book! Busy’s book was heartwarming, raw, and nostalgic all at the same time. Come to find out, Busy is only a few weeks older than me so I felt like I was reliving some parts of my childhood (although my childhood was a little less intense!) I mean, we both didn’t get to see Nirvana in concert, but not for the same reasons.
So thank you Busy for keeping me company during my vacation. I forgot how nice it was to read something other than personal development books and just read for the pleasure of being entertained!
Any book recommendations for 2019? I’m trying not to buy any new books since I already have enough at home to read or use the local library more often, but I’d love suggestions!
