Karmic Sweets is going healthy! Well, sort of!
In my last post, I mentioned how Karmic Sweets was evolving and I’m excited to show you a little of what’s in store.
Karmic Sweets officially turned two on January 3rd (which also happens to be my goddaughter’s third birthday! Bonne fête Élise!).
When I started this blog, it was mainly to journal my thoughts and reflexions since I’d officially announced on Facebook that I would be taking cake and cupcake orders for friends and family. I’d been baking for about a year before I finally decided to post the offer and as much as I was scared that it would flop, the response was amazing.
For the first year, I had orders galore. People were excited and wanted to support me which was a lovely feeling. However, orders started to dwindle during the second year. At first, I was a little disappointed, but when I decided to be really honest with myself, it was clear that I was emitting that vibe into the universe.
I didn’t want to spend all of my weekends in the kitchen. Sure, it was fun from time to time, but it was starting to feel like a second job. Also, during that second year, I dealt with some health issues which forced me to stop and rethink this whole thing through.
Once I started feeling better, I knew I had to make some changes. I started experimenting with healthier baking options a few years ago, but had stopped to maintain a low cost while doing the custom orders.
But I’m bake! I mean, back!
Plus, I’ve come to the conclusion that Karmic Sweets is so much more than baked goods! It’s all about balance and making the most of what life has to offer. Over the past few years, I’ve worked a lot on myself and I am ready to spread the love.
The blog will expand to have tips, recipes, exercises (not necessarily the physical kind so don’t panic!), classes and retreats. Dream big, right?
So stay tuned and keep checking the site for more info. You can also subscribe to the blog to receive updates via email to follow along. That way, you’ll be notified of new content and new blog posts first! And I may throw in a few surprises along the way 😉
